APPLICATION TIPS

1. Use a tape measure or a ruler to determine the exact area where the quote will be placed. Make sure your surface is clean and smooth – vinyl lettering will not adhere to stucco or brick like surfaces or surfaces with fabric. Your words can be cut apart and stacked in rows, put on at an angle or arranged around and on windows, door or on most wallpaper. Taping them lightly in place first will help you plan your layout.

2. Some quotes will come in rolls because of the length or for shipping, unwrap the quote and let it sit flat until it stops wanting to roll itself up. The vinyl lettering has a transfer tape (looks and feels like clear tape) on the front side and backing paper (white and shiny) on the other (back side). Before peeling the back paper off, use the included application squeegee to rub (burnish) the surface of transfer tape to insure the quote is adhered solidly to the transfer tape.

3. Flip the quote and carefully peel the backing paper away from the quote, which should remain on the transfer tape. The quotes cannot be repositioned, so be careful to line them up where you want them. Place the taped quote on the pre-measured surface, using the lines to position the vinyl correctly onto the surface.

4. Using the application tool that comes with your lettering, carefully press any air bubbles out from underneath the words, rub again, applying more pressure over the entire area.

5. Carefully peel back the transfer tape, and re-rub any areas that don’t transfer to the surface. This will leave the quote on your surface. After quote is on the surface, very lightly and carefully run the application tool across the letters (VERY GENTLY) to ensure they have adhered to your surface.

6. IMPORTANT: allow freshly painted walls to cure 2-3 weeks.

7. When applying to windows or mirrors – after cleaning, re-clean surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any residue that window cleaners may leave. This suggestion comes directly from vinyl manufacturer.

8. When you are ready to remove your quote, warm with a hair dryer and lift off!
